Robotosan: the new Japanese grill buffet at Fort Bonifacio, Taguig

"The year is 2089 and Tokyo, Japan is under attack by alien robots. Nations unite and create the ultimate robot that can save the world. His name was - ROBOTO SAN."

Welcome to the world of Roboto san!
Check out the servers with their space cadets ready to pilot jet fighters and robots with their white tight space suits highlighted with silver linings.

Roboto San is the brainchild of restaurateur Ricky Laudico. As a child, he'd always been fascinated with robots. Having brought up in a colorful generation who looks up to rising mecha, inspired by their spectacular adventures and episodes of saving mankind from destruction, he developed the story of Roboto San - the ultimate robot created by future humans to rescue the earth from imminent obliteration by alien robots.

With its futuristic concept, the guests will be transported into the future Tokyo, Japan, in 2089. The interior exhibits a bird's nest design, highlighted in purple walls and interlacing white wooden panels.

Vintage anime is being played and displayed on TV screens. This brings back memories of me waking up during Saturdays just to catch my favorite cartoons such as Voltes V and Astroboy.

The cozy chairs contain multicolored faces of vintage robots. Choose your fighter robot!

The food selection is a culinary masterpiece perfected by none other than our 3 amazing chefs and their team of highly-trained cooks - Corporate Chef Christine Nicole Nicolas, Executive Chef Benjamin Gonzales and Chef Consultant Florabel Co-Yatco.

Miso Soup
Noodle Soup
Vegetable Salad
Pickled Cucumber
deliciously marinated raw meat and seafood
My first attempt to grill. I went for the chicken to start.

I think I did pretty good =)
Fried food section - where the tempura, squid tempura and gyoza can be found.
bountiful cooked and ready to eat meals such as beef and chicken for those who are impatient in cooking.
Sashimi and Maki Rolls
Some more rolls to choose from.
Tempura - a must have in a Japanese Restaurant.
Different types of Kilawin fish
Kilawin Fish - It is not common to find this in a Japanese inspired restaurant so I tried it. The fish was fresh and the taste was sour and super spicy.

Pasta
I wasn't able to try these because I was getting full. I preferred eating more desserts!
brownies, jello shooters, sylvanas, cake, and some toppings for the ice cream.
Halo-halo, and some pastries.
A piece of sans-rival, Ice cream by Big Scoop, and some rice krispies to make it complete =)

Sony’s new line of android mobile phones

With Sony buying out its share from the Sony-Ericsson partnership, It showcased its first solo venture handsets in the Philippine market.

First on the list is the Xperia S, the flagship of the series. The first thing to hit you in the face was the crisp, bright and beautiful display. It has Sony's HD technology all over the phone. The HD experience makes anything you look at so realistic. The shadows and the pixels were perfect and clear. Underneath this stylish iconic design is a dual core processor. A 4.3-inch Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine. It has an HD (1280 x 720) resolution screen front (720p) and back (1080p) cameras for HD recording.  Its 12MP camera with Sony Exmor R can take pictures in just 1.5 seconds from standby mode. HD sharing is enabled through a wireless DLNA connection and a HDMI cable to link the Xperia S to the TV.
Built with a sleek full aluminium unibody design. The Xperia P features the WhiteMagic display technology on a smartphone. WhiteMagic technology delivers the brightest viewing experience; even under direct sunlight. Smart power efficiency automatically adjusts the brightness of the screen to the surroundings to conserve battery life. Available in a choice of silver and black, both with an aluminium unibody, the Xperia P has a 4-inch Reality Display powered by the Mobile BRAVIA Engine. Its 8MP camera comes with unique fast capture, HD recording and Sony technology to capture 2D and 3D panoramic images.

With xLoud and Sony 3D surround sound audio technology integrated into the music player, consumers will enjoy a crisp and loud sound experience on the Xperia U.  They can also stream music to wireless speakers with a touch using DLNA.  The transparent element on the phone also illuminates to match the color of photos in the gallery or the album art of music tracks currently playing.  Available in a choice of white or black, the Xperia U comes with pink and yellow exchangeable caps for the base of the smartphone in the box.  The phone has a 5MP camera with fast capture, HD recording and 2D and 3D panoramic photo imaging.  It has a 3.5-inch Reality Display powered by Mobile BRAVIA Engine.

The NFC-enabled Xperia sola comes with two Xperia SmartTags, allowing consumers to change their smartphone’s settings and applications to fit their lifestyle in an instant. Xperia sola is also the first to feature Sony’s innovative floating touch technology for web browsing.  Users navigate the web by hovering their finger above the screen so it acts like a moving cursor, without actually having to touch the screen.  Once the desired link is found it can be highlighted and a simple tap will load the page. The Xperia sola has a 3.7-inch Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine, 5MP camera with HD video recording, and xLOUD and 3D surround sound audio technology.  The phone will be available in black, white and red.

Xperia SmartTags are another unique feature that come with the Xperia S, Xperia P and Xperia sola. These small tokens use NFC (near field communication) technology to switch smartphone settings with just a swipe. Users can prescribe tasks on the phone, such as switching on the alarm clock by the bed, muting the phone in time for a business meeting or even turning on the GPS app when entering the car. The user simply swipes the phone by the Xperia SmartTag and the prescribed actions are set, instead of having to go through each task and setting.
The four new smartphones make the most out of Sony’s existing technologies, allowing users to integrate content with the Japanese company’s televisions, tablets and laptop computers.

The Xperia S is already available in the country, while the three others will be launched in the coming months.

Trying out Brew-Kus "The Bev-wich Shop"

A day at Brew-Kus "The Bev-wich Shop" or the Beverage Sandwich Shop

It felt very cozy inside. The space was fairly big which can accommodate big groups. The most noticeable part of the cafe was their bar in the middle. This is where they make all those delicious thirst quencher drinks.

Crisp Mushroom Ravioli (Php 180)

The Crisp Mushroom Ravioli was a great way to start our meal. It's a fried crispy wanton wrap with diced mushrooms and cream cheese. On the side, there was a tomato sauce mix that was a great match for this crunchy delight.
Grilled Veg and Mozzarella Sandwich (Php 250)

The Grilled Vegtable and Mozzarella Sandwich contained shitake mushrooms, grilled eggplant, tomatoes, zucchini and mozzarella cheese. It tasted like pizza rather than a sandwich. =)

Iced Caramel Macchiato (Large - Php 150)

This was a perfect drink for a hot day. Brewkus also serves
coffee, soft drinks, true teas and tea lattes.

 Beer-Battered Fish and Chips

BrewKus boasts of it Beer-Battered Fish and Chips. It is truly one of the best  that I  have ever tasted. The batter was crispy and thin. The fish was not overcooked so it was very juicy.

Shrimply Loaded (Php 250)

The Shrimply Loaded sandwich was packed with shrimp. Digging in the sandwich I also spotted garlic and asparagus. The sauce tasted like a mix of Dijon mustard cream and Parmesan cheese.

Wild Mushroom Pasta (Php 250)
The Wild Mushroom Pasta is a linguine cream based pasta with a delightful combination of shitake and button mushrooms, prosciutto ham and premium white truffle oil. This dish seemed plain and simple but the taste was heaven.

Conclusion: Brew-Kus is a place worth coming  back.  It serves affordable and generous comfort food and drinks. I liked all the things that I have tried plus It's a nice place to chit-chat and relax with friends and family.
